Statement of Faith

What we believe.

Firmly rooted in Scripture, our beliefs guide our decisions as a church.

At Living Word Chapel

The Word of God is our foundation.

At Living Word Chapel, we base all of our beliefs on the authority of Scripture. In every way, we strive to maintain Biblical standards of living and leadership. We believe that living life according to God's Word is the way to a dominion life.

Our beliefs

What we hold to be true.

01
The Bible

The Bible is error-free, and therefore the basis for living our lives in a way that glorifies God. All Scripture is God-breathed.

Psalm 12:6; 19:7; Prov 30:5; 2 Tim 3:16; Heb 4:12
02
God

God Almighty is self-existent and does not need us or anything else. He is supreme, the Almighty, and there is none to compare to Him.

Rev 4:11; Isa 45:5; 44:6; 43:11
03
Jesus

Jesus Christ is God the Son. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit in the womb of the Virgin Mary, and lived as the Son of Man that He might die, rise again and ascend to redeem man from sin, death, curses, sickness and poverty. He is God.

Phil 2:5-11
04
The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God the Spirit. He is co-equal with God and Christ. Jesus did not start His earthly ministry until the Holy Spirit baptized Him, and when He was leaving, He instructed us to wait until the Holy Spirit has come on us. He must be given His supreme place if you want to see impact in your life.

Acts 10:38; Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8; 1 Cor 12
05
The Trinity

God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We see Them operate in unison.

Matt 28:19; 3:16-17; Gen 1:26; 1 John 5:7
06
The Devil

The devil exists, settled. His goal is to destroy you and to deceive you into thinking he is not the one. What you see is therefore not all there is to see. The fall in the Garden was caused by the devil. We are instructed to resist him. He is a deceiver.

Gen 3; James 4:7; Rev 12:9
07
Man

God created us, and we are made to serve the Lord. We did not make ourselves.

Gen 1; Psalm 100:3
08
Born-Again Christian

Man must be born again. We must therefore repent of our sins and be born again, without which you remain in your sin and will ultimately perish in eternity away from God. But when you confess your sins, you are forgiven and cleansed. This is what makes you a son of God, and then you can do the good works for which He created you.

John 3:3-7; Luke 13:3; 1 John 1:9; Eph 2:10
09
Redemption from Sin

Redemption from the law and curses.

Gal 3:13-14; Isaiah 53:5-7; Rom 3:24-26; 4:25; 8:3-4; 2 Cor 5:17; Gal 4:4-5
10
Divine Healing

Divine healing and health.

1 Peter 2:24; Isaiah 53:5; Mark 16:17-18; Luke 10:19
